Weekend visit with Jordan

On Friday, Dwight and Sharon exchanged Christmas presents with Jordan's family, then brought Jordan home for an an overnight with Grandma & Granddad. Jordan will be 8 years old in January.

Thanksgiving 2008 in New Mexico!

Dwight and Sharon traveled to Belen, New Mexico over Thanksgiving weekend to visit with Steve and Beth and granddaughters Grace (will be two years old in January) and Ava, born October 16. It was fun to play with and enjoy Grace, and to meet Ava. They are beautiful girls! On Thanksgiving Day, we all drove up to Albuquerque for a wonderful dinner at grandson Kaelan's house, hosted by his Mom, Genevieve, and aunts, Esperanza and Bernadette. The drive home was horrific. We drove half way on Saturday afternoon and spent the night in Raton so we could have a short trip home the following day. When we woke up Sunday, it was snowing. The normally 4 hour trip took 8 hours, including nearly 4 hours of 5mph travel between Colorado Springs and Castle Rock (30mi distance). Yuck!

Niece Elizabeth marries Christopher Petree November 15 in Florida

Dwight and Sharon traveled to beautiful Gasparilla Island for the November 15th wedding of niece Elizabeth Gallagher and Christopher Petree. The setting was gorgeous, the weather acted up a bit during the reception, but nothing could ruin the festive and happy gathering.

Ava Annette Blackstock - Grandchild #10 - Born October 16th!

Congratulations to Steve, Beth and Grace, on the arrival of Ava Annette, born October 16th in Albuquerque! GaGa and Granddad are heading for NM for Thanksgiving and can't wait to meet Ava and see Grace again (oh ya, we want to see Steve and Beth, too)!! Wedding Weekend for Nephew Nathan

Dwight and Sharon enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Milwaukee in early August to celebrate the wedding of nephew Nathan and his bride Jaime. We enjoyed visits with brother Richard, sister-in-law Ann, and sister Kathy, brother-in-law Tom, and lots of nieces and nephews. Here's a few pictures:

Ghost Ranch 2008

Dwight, Sharon and Kyra traveled to New Mexico to spend a weekend with Steve, Beth and Grace, followed by a week at Ghost Ranch. Here are some of the highlights:
